Characters Empty Shara Khan for you right here

Post  SigneGT Thu May 26, 2011 7:27 am

• Shara Khan – Sorcerer (female)
• Seemingly human, although half tiefling.
• 23 years old

Shara is a fairly young woman, but she is not like most young women you meet. You see, she is half tiefling. At first glance you probably won’t notice it, it’s not like she has horns or a tail or anything like that. But when you get closer and really examine her pitch black hair and fair skin, you will notice little signs pointing you in the right direction. She seems to have an aura about her, a vibrant aura that makes the hairs on the back of your neck rise and goose bumps appear on your skin. Her eyes are very dark, almost black; a big contrast to the pale white skin, although sometimes, if you look at her without her knowing they sometimes glow in a large range of other colours.

Growing up in Chelaxian, her demonic ancestry didn’t really matter at all. What did matter though was her evergrowing temper. Shara is a hot-headed woman and in itself this doesn’t pose a large threat to anyone (although one has to keep in mind that a woman scorned and all that…) Shara is also a sorcerer. Her veins flow with wild arcane magic that bends and bows to her feelings and wishes. When Shara is angry, she risks a burst of chaotic fire from her hands or weapons.

In search of a way to control this temper Shara left Chelaxian and its devilish, untrustworthy citizens (including her own family), to seek refuge and knowledge from the patient dwarfs of Janderhoff. Janderhoff poses as a warm childhood memory in her mind, but it wasn’t enough for her adventurous soul. Her dwarven guardian, Caridin Drugari, told her that the only cure for her intense emotions was time and the wisdom that comes with age.
It was her own idea to go on an adventure, the rugged adventurers she had seen coming through both Chelaxian and Janderhoff looked wise and experienced in life. A quality that she really longed for, for her sake and others’.

Why she decided to start in Sandpoint, nobody knows, it just felt right and only time will tell if this feeling was well-founded.

Jack Steele, age 27, Elf.
Spoiler:
Jack stands one meter and seventy six centimetre tall. He has a black heavy coat, in which he keeps his holy handbook, a monocle, a variation of tweezers and brushes and a magnifying glass. Dark red leather slightly shimmers in the light beneath his coat, if one looks closely one can see outlines of strange runes and holy symbols. At his side, a rather ornate scabbard with a mean looking falchion hangs.
When not wearing a standard inquisitor helmet of Ioun, his white-gray hair flows freely just below his shoulders.
His face is constantly smiling, but when you spend enough time with Jack you can make out varying degrees of the smile, from a hateful sneer to a cold and calculating smile.
Where his left eye should be, there is instead an eerie looking glass eye. He lost it in a fight against a mighty horde of unbelievers, anyone who says otherwise will be burned as a witch and then prosecuted and judged.
A holy symbol of Ioun dangles in a chain around his neck

Spoiler:

Jack never acts without thought, and when he does act, you can be sure he thought it at least halfway through.
Trained as an inquisitor of Ioun for a delegation in the trading town Crying leaf on the edge of the Velashu Uplands, Halaari knows his way around investigations and questioning. From time to time he collects taxes as well, but after an unfortunate incident involving a grumpy pig farmer with a hatchet, concessions were made, the body neatly packed away, and Halaari was sent to watch over the festival and ensure nothing out of the ordinary would take place. Jack was not happy about this.

Shethys is a tall, silver-eyed Shadar-kai with a dark complexion and a head full of white dreadlocks bound into a ponytail of sorts. On his right cheek is a deep scar going into an intricate tattoo that - as is the way of the Shadar-kai - symbolizes a tale of great valor and strength.

Shadar-kai are few and far between outside the Shadowfell, and he has gotten his fair share of strange looks from the populace of Sandpoint. Nevertheless, he has been welcomed with as much friendliness as any other traveller. Thus far, though he's loath to admit it, he's rather enjoying the Natural plane.

Characters Empty The background of Morbus Morten Apparatus

Post  Morbus Mortem Apparatus Sun Dec 04, 2011 3:11 am

Morbus Mortem Apparatus, a warforged barbarian who was 250 years old and once built in the magma of The Great Vulcanoes, stood on top of a hill and studied the city of ‘Sandpoint’.

There had been blood, there had been violence there had been such horrifying details he couldn’t even think of them. Morbus, who was actually designed as a numb warrior and thereby the perfect death machine, had surely seen everything. The limps of the innocent, the bodies of the children, and the total slaughter of several thousand defenseless people. One day it had simply been enough – the horrors, the screaming and the chaos had activated a strange microchip in the insides of Morbus, giving him human-like emotions. In a pure berserker rage he took his sword, danced around in a circle of death killing everyone next to him in the army he had served for so many decades. It was a rampage, it was death, it was complete lack of self-control, and yet it was all human-like in a strange perverted way. Everything went from bright to dark and from dark to black. Not knowing how much later, he woke up with a fuzzy head all covered in thick red liquid and oil from his engine. He washed himself in a nearby lake, grabbed his sword, which seemed much heavier than usual, and realized that he for some reason had forgotten many of his battle talents. He simply couldn’t remember any of his more than two hundred years of practice, which he found quite shocking. A shock – a human-like emotion spreading from his forehead down his spine, reaching the thick metallic legs and his brick feet. Determined to reach his former state of battle experience, he left the lake, walked down a narrow path that apparently stretched through the landscape, and prepared to start a new life focusing on a new aspect of a world he knew almost nothing of.
After four months, he had managed to recover the basics with his sword, however, he would probably never be able to exhibit the same amount of deadly attacks, he once knew. During the four months, he had helped a small village named ‘Loop’ against a couple of bandits, and he had learned how to plant and take care of flowers. As thanks the citizens of ‘Loop’ gave him a deep blue flower in a pot. The flower was an extremely rare lily they thought he would like – it would remind him of his actions, and life itself (before the human emotions he had only experienced death).
After two more months, Morbus learned a few more aggressive and better battle techniques, and he felt entirely ready for another and hopefully even greater adventure. He reached a small hill just outside the city of ‘Sandpoint’ desperately wanting to make a difference in the world. He turned around for a second caught in the thought; “Maybe I’m human” before he went down the hill and entered the city, hoping this would be the beginning of the adventure he lusted for.

Other information:
The lily the citizens of ‘Loop’ gave Morbus means the world to him. It is kept within a draw carved into his body at all time. He waters it every day, makes sure it feels all right, and sometimes he even talks to it. It gives him happiness to take care of the lily that reminds him of certain aspects in life.
