Rise of The Runelords 1 - Burnt Offerings

"Thanks a lot my good sir" Shara laughs at the little boy. She throws him a few coins before she turns to the others. "Soo, any villager?"

Shathys, gnawing on his lip idly, stands thinking on what the boy has to say.

Suddenly speaking up, Shathys says: "Shara, we know the Innkeeper more than a random villager, I think that we should head back to the Rusty Dragon and take it from there, What say you, Jack?"

Buddy snatches the coins out of the air, snatches another apple from one of the crates and runs off, waving.

Jack is writing in his notebook and is muttering: "...Murders, kept hidden, too profane to be discussed?"
He looks up. "Yes. I suppose she's bound to have heard rumors with her profession. Although the sheriff might have records, he strikes me as a pretty decent man, despite his failure to keep the men in check. Either of those are fine so I'll leave it up to Shara."

"It might not hurt to talk to both, although I think we should start with Ameiko from the Inn. She is really helpful and as far as I know she loves adventuring, one would think that she would appreciate helping adventurers too."

Osmus is sitting on Sharas shoulder nibbling at her ear, he is not sure that he likes these two new companions his master has gained.

"Well, I suggest we get going then." Shathys says with a cheery smile

As you make your way back to The Rusty Dragon, you feel a sudden urge to tell me what your passive perception is.

Out of the corner of his eye, Jack notices a buxom young lass - with striking green eyes and waves of golden hair - eyeing Shathys rather more intently than the other various onlookers. She's leaning against the side of a house, making no move to approach.

You don't sense any strong emotions from her. She seems merely to be sizing Shathys up.

Jack nudges Shathys in the side with an elbow. "Looks like you have an admirer." and hints towards the young woman.

Shathys starts visibly, clearly not very used to all the attention since the Goblin Attack.

"So...What do local people do in this type of situation?" Shathys asks Jack sincerely.

Jack shrugs. "Talk to her I suppose." and adds: "But whatever you do, don't throw rocks at her." with a smirk.

"I wager a gold coin I could hit her from here." Shathys says with a grin, then turning rather serious looks over to the young lady and raises a hand, waving to her in a semi-relaxed manner.

She smiles and gives you a finger-twirly wave. She still makes no move to approach.

Shara keeps in the background, intrigued by the young woman, but hesitant to interfere with what is going on.

Shathys shrugs and sighs, "Well..Why not." He says, muttering to himself as he walks towards the stranger.

"Good afternoon milady." Shathys says with a polite smile on his face.

"Hi there, stranger," she says with a smile. "What can I do for ya?"

"I just noticed you while walking with my companions over there, If you don't mind me asking, who are you?" Shathys glances over at Jack rather desperately, as if screaming "Now what?"

"Oh, I'm Shayliss. And you're Shathys." She gasps. "Oh wow, our names sound totally alike!"

Jack makes a series of small hand gestures. Then after a pause he gives up and shakes his head sideways as if to say "get back here."

"Indeed they are, it's been a pleasure my dear, but I'm afraid I must depart for my friend over there."

Shathys turns and begins walking away, mouthing silently to Jack "Thannnk yoou."
