"Don't punch her walls, man. That won't help us." Jack sighs. "But I, too, am at a loss here."

After have been doing a lot of thinking and listening to the conversation of the others, Morbus interacts and says, "Ezakien's remains.... Jack, do you think it would help if we found those remains? It might be a good lead or something", as he finishes, it's like the red glow form the eyes of Morbus almost tells the other by vocal, that Morbus right now sees himself as a very smart warforged.

Madame Mvashti thinks for a moment. 'I'm not sure,' she says. 'Sherrif Avertin, the man in charge of the investigation, was Chopper's last victim, so any information he had was lost with him.'

Jack looks at Morbus as if he's the stupidest person alive.
"Thank you for the assistance Madame. I need a drink." Jack walks out.

"I understand." Shathys nods. "Before we leave, could I ask you to put a proper splint on my broken finger?" Shathys holds up his left hand, showing the broken digit and with a grimace says, "I think it also may need to be set properly."

"Allow me to leave, before that happens Shathys" Sharas wrinkles her nose. "I'm not a fan of the sound of broken bones, unless it comes from filthy goblins trying to kill me".

With a pop and a crack, Shathys' broken finger is set, and a splint is quickly applied.

"Couldn't be a little gentler could ya?" Shathys says with a small cough to mask his pain.

"Thank you for your information and time, as well as services rendered." Shathys takes out a pouch and counts out 10 gold coins, and places them in the woman's hand.

"Advance payment for anything we may need in the future." Shathys turns and begins to follow Jack.

"I may need a drink too, a stiff one at that."

Morbus follows the others not really knowing what he wants on a pub - he's a warforged. He looks around in the street in hope of finding anything of interest regarding the quest - any action going on that could be a lead or anything?

Fatman's Feedbag is a dirty building down by the docks. Its walls are made of damp, rotting wood, and like most things at the docks, it smells like fish.

The inside of the Fatman's Feedbag is a miss-matched pile of dirty tables, rickety chairs and pools of unknown liquid. A few rough-looking patrons are scattered among the tables, and an enormously fat man is standing behind a wooden counter. The place smells of stale sweat, alcohol and fish.

Post  Admin Sun Dec 18, 2011 9:08 am

[19:50:43] Jack Steele: Jack walks up to the fat guy and says "What's a man got to do to get a stiff drink around here"
[19:51:10] Shathys: Shathys walk beside Jack, "What he said."
[19:51:38] Shara Khan: "At least alcohol is a disinfectant" Shara mumbles.
[19:51:38] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: Morbus stays in the back, analyzing the place for a little while before he joins the others, not saying a word.
[19:53:44] Dungeon Master: The man laughs. "All you gotta do is ask, stranger. And present some coin, of course. What can I get ya?"
[19:54:06] Jack Steele: "Anything strong." jack says and throws the man a few silver
[19:54:52] Shara Khan: Shara does the same thing and asks the man to give her what he gives Jack.
[19:55:24] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: "This wouldn't be a place you could get anything healthy for your plants, would it?", Morbus asks silently
[19:55:26] Shathys: Shathys follows suite.
[19:56:15] Shara Khan: "What is it with you and that plant, Morbus?" Shara can't help smiling, she finds the whole flower-business quite amusing.
[19:57:39] Dungeon Master: The man lifts a fat, hairless eyebrow at Morbus. "Plants? You want... water?"
[19:59:08] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: "I got a lily from a village I once helped. It means a lot to me. - Water you say, my good man? Water would be great. There's no alcohol in your water is there?", Morbus answers.
[20:00:17] Shathys: Shathys grunts: "If there is, it'll be a happy plant."
[20:00:50] Jack Steele: Jack is massaging his temples.
[20:01:13] Dungeon Master: "Right," the fat bartender says. "Right... I'll try to find some water."
[20:01:25] Dungeon Master: He walks into a back room.
[20:01:40] Shara Khan: Shara laughs. "I guess that's understandable Morbus".

Osmus snorts. "Shara, these people are insane!" He leaves the Fatman's Feedbag in protest.
[20:02:28] Shara Khan: "Where do you suppose we go from here guys?"
[20:03:16] Jack Steele: "I've run out of clues. For now I'm content to just sit here for a while and check up on my shield later"
[20:05:15] Shathys: "I've not idea whatsoever." Shathys sighs
[20:05:37] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: "Do you think the locals in here would know anything? Some of them look a bit creepy to me.", Morbus asks.
[20:05:48 | Edited 20:06:47] Shara Khan: "Yeah. I bet a lot of good is going to come of that!" Shara sounds upset. "There must be something we haven't tried? And how long before that hunter person comes?"
[20:06:47] Jack Steele: "Their village has just been attacked but a day ago Morbus, have some pity."
[20:09:15] Shathys: "A day? Is that all it's been? It seems to feel years longer than that." Shathys says
[20:09:23] Dungeon Master: The bartender returns after a minute, carrying four large metal mugs. He sets one down in front of each of you. Morbus' mug is filled with a water-like substance. The other three are filled with a golden, greasy-looking fluid that smells like pain.
[20:09:49] Dungeon Master: "Best brew in the house!" The bartender says. "And some water. I think."
[20:10:32] Shara Khan: "Did he just piss in our mugs?" Shara whispers to the guys. She laugs. "My life has changed quite a bit since i came to Sandpoint" She proclaims.
[20:11:23] Shathys: Shathys takes his with both ands ahnd proceeds to drink slowly and surely to the bottom of the cup without stopping. "Ye gods, The hell is this?" Shathys shudders "It tastes like another." Shathys coughs.
[20:11:43] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: "Does ny of you mind checking out my water? I love my flower. I would hate to kill it with something that isn't water. I'm not that good at analyzing such things." Morbus pleads.
[20:12:05] Jack Steele: Jack drinks a good mouthful of his brew and winces, then drinks another.
[20:12:16] Shara Khan: "I think Jack will drink anything at the moment. He should do it."
[20:12:30] Jack Steele: "I'm not risking my life for a plant."
[20:13:17] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: Morbus throws the water away - eventually he will find propper water, he hopes...
[20:13:21] Shathys: Shathys takes Morbus' water and swallows a motuhful. "Ungh."
[20:13:22 | Removed 20:13:29] Shathys: This message has been removed.
[20:13:39 | Edited 20:13:45] Shathys: "It's water...I think." Shathys says
[20:13:48] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: ((Sorry Signe. I was too fast.))
[20:13:56] Dungeon Master: The golden brew has the consistency of oil, and it tastes like getting punched in the mouth by a fist made of angry bees. The water tastes like water. Sort of.
[20:14:57] Dungeon Master: The bartender gives Shathys another mug, looking slightly impressed.
[20:15:32] Jack Steele: "Say, barkeep, have you heard any rumors as of late?" Jack asks
[20:17:42] Dungeon Master: "People talk," he says. "And perhaps I hear things. What rumors are you hunting?"
[20:18:01] Dungeon Master: ((You can roll an Insight check if you want to.))
[20:18:36] Jack Steele: ((insight check, 14+9= 23))
[20:19:25 | Edited 20:19:28] Shathys: Shathys downs this one too then puts his head on the table. "That hurt." he grumbles
[20:21:20] Dungeon Master: ((The bartender is suddenly and clearly suspicious of you. He's choosing his words carefully.))
[20:23:49] Jack Steele: Jack doesn't change his attitude or behaviour. "Mostly rumors of why the goblins interrupted the consecration, rumors of where they went, who was behind it."
[20:27:42] Dungeon Master: He relaxes visibly. "Oh, ah, can't help you there. We usually don't have any dealings with Goblins here in Sandpoint. They hide themselves out in the hinterlands, see. Usually just raids a caravan or two. No idea why they'd swarm into the village like ants on a honeycake."
[20:28:58] Shathys: "What about rumors of statues changing? you know, the ones that ol chopper made?" Shathys says from between his arms, head still on the counter.
[20:29:39] Jack Steele: Jack smiles. "Seems I hit something of a nerve back there. Got anything to hide, Barkeep? It's a very bad idea to hide something from us you see." ((12+12=24 intimidate check))
[20:30:19] Dungeon Master: He looks confused at Shathys' question. "No," he says. "No changing statues."
[20:33:16] Dungeon Master: At Jack's question, the jovial smile disappears and his face grows hard. "I don't take kindly to thinly veiled threats in my establishment, elf. If I had anything to hide, it would be no business of yours."
[20:34:31 | Edited 20:34:43] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: Morbus puts 10 gold coins on the counter and asks the bar man, "Are you sure you don't know anything?".
[20:34:38 | Edited 20:35:55] Shara Khan: "Be polite, Jack!" Shara frowns.

"I am truly sorry Sir. Jack has had a long day".

(( Diplomacy check for 16 + 9 = 25, I'm trying to make him accept the apology ))
[20:35:32] Jack Steele: Jack looks slightly perplexed. "huh... that usually works." he mumbles
[20:38:25] Dungeon Master: The coins disappear into his pockets, and the jovial smile returns. "Words are just words," he says, making a waving sort of gesture. "It's already forgotten."
[20:38:32] Shathys: Shathys reaches down to his belt, unhooking his Spiked chain from his belt discreetly.

((Stealth / thievery check 7 + 9 =18))
[20:39:31] Dungeon Master: He doesn't notice Shathys' movements.
[20:40:19] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: "Hey! Give me back those coins!" Morbus yells in an angry tone.
[20:40:44] Shathys: "I don't think he asked you for forgiveness, he asked you what you know." Shathys growls at the bartender.
[20:41:44] Dungeon Master: "And I believe I already told you. I know nothing of the goblins. If I learn something, I'll be glad to send you a message."
[20:41:44 | Edited 20:42:11] Shara Khan: "Oh my goodness. Thank you for the drink Sir and goodbye." Shara leaves the room, utterly annoyed at the guys. Outside she meets Osmus. "I told you they were insane" he says.
[20:42:51] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: "Give me back my coins right now you big fat man!" Morbus thunders ((intemidate check: 17+7=24)).
[20:43:12] Jack Steele: "Oh dear." Jack mumbles and scoots a few feet away from the warforged
[20:43:37] Shathys: "Then I suggest you give those coins back, Cur." Shathys says calmy, as calm as a predator.
[20:45:52] Dungeon Master: He throws the coins back onto the counter. "I think it's about time you leave," he says with a stony face.
[20:46:21] Shathys: "Wise decision."
[20:46:23] Jack Steele: "Quite." Jack walks out
[20:46:29] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: Morbus immediately takes the coins.
[20:46:47] Shathys: Shathys stands up, slipping his chain back into his belt
[20:49:13] Shathys: "If you ever see me again, You won't enjoy the meeting." Shathys smiles like a wolf, more a baring of the teeth than a friendly gesture, "Though if you want to start something now, you're more than welcome to." He stands firm in front of the bartender, taking off his blindfold and wrapping it around his spiked chain, his silver eyes alight, bouncing off the torches inside.
[20:52:08] Dungeon Master: "Leave," he says.
[20:52:55] Shathys: "As you wish. You have yourself a good evening now." Shathys says curtly, wrapping his blindfold back around his face and stepping out into the sunlight.
[20:55:06] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: "What if I told you we know about the goblin attack and who is behind it?", Morbus asks, looking deeply into the eyes of the man, trying to see, how he reacts ((does it look like he has something to hide when Morbus asks the question? Insight check: 15+0=15 (woah I roll well right now))).
[20:57:10] Dungeon Master: "Then I suggest you tell that to the sheriff. He's that way," he says, pointing a finger at the door.
[20:57:26] Dungeon Master: ((He has plenty to hide, but he doesn't appear to know anything about the goblins.))
[20:57:42 | Edited 20:57:56] Jack Steele: "Well that went well." Jack remarks. "At least we know he's hiding something. I suggest we pay his establishment a visit in the dark of night perhaps."
[20:57:51] Shathys: ((be back in a sec, dog just sicked up on my bed))
[20:59:00] Shara Khan: "Did you make more trouble?" Shara asks.

(( also, ahahaha. Sorry, Francis, but that message ))
[21:01:15] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: ((Who does Shara ask?))
[21:01:43] Shathys: ((back))
[21:01:49] Shara Khan: (( Everyone outside ))
[21:02:14] Dungeon Master: ((Morbus is still inside, right?))
[21:03:44 | Removed 21:04:01] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: This message has been removed.
[21:03:57] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: (( yes ))
[21:04:31] Shathys: "I merely asked the man a question is all." Shathys says to shara
[21:05:24] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: "I'll be seeing you around, pig", Morbus hisses before he leaves the place to join the others outside.
[21:05:47 | Edited 21:07:53] Shara Khan: (( How do i describe Shara going -.-, cause that is how she feels :b ))
[21:06:02] Jack Steele: ((what?))
[21:06:14] Shara Khan: (( -.- ))
[21:07:28] Jack Steele: ((no this: How you i describe Shara going -.-. ))
[21:08:02] Shara Khan: (( I dont know what you're talking about :b ))
[21:08:20] Jack Steele: ((how you i))
[21:09:19] Dungeon Master: Morbus joins the rest of you outside.
[21:10:06] Shathys: "It seems that the Inn is the only likable establishment in this accursed town."
[21:10:31] Shathys: "Oh how I look forward to seeing ameiko and her lucious body once more." shathys says, perhaps slightly drunk.
[21:11:24 | Edited 21:11:42] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: "Maybe we should go talk to the sheriff. The pig talked about him. He might know something." Morbus suggests, still affected by the anger that struck down upon him moments ago.
[21:11:54] Jack Steele: "We've already talked to the sheriff a number of times, Morbus. Got us nowhere."
[21:12:32 | Edited 21:12:45] Shathys: "By Iunos godly tits shall we just go back to the inn and get drunk and sleep until our companion arrives, she should be here by tomorrow." Shathys sighs exasperately.
[21:12:47] Jack Steele: "Ioun." Jack corrects.
[21:13:07 | Edited 21:13:15] Shathys: "Maybe I have a deity called Iunos." Shathys counters.
[21:13:41] Jack Steele: "Maybe you need to sleep that alcohol off."
[21:13:48] Shara Khan: "Dear heavens. I think I'll go 'home'." Shara walks towards the inn with only a warm bed and a quiet evening in mind.
[21:14:25] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: "Maybe that is the best thing to do, afterall..."
[21:14:56 | Edited 21:14:58] Shathys: "I cannot believe how you've forced me to drink so much since we've met, Jack." Shathys says, struggling to find his legs.
[21:16:11] Jack Steele: "Right well. Let's get going eh?" Jack says and helps Shathys back to the good old inn.
[21:17:22] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: Morbus follows the other not really knowing where they exactly are going - he has never been in the inn they are talking about before.
[21:22:25] Dungeon Master: The Rusty Dragon is as welcoming as ever. It is still mostly empty, with only a few solitary figures enjoying a light meal or a cup of coffee or tea. Aldern is sitting on a stool by the bar, listening intently as Ameiko, the owner of the inn, tells a tale from her adventuring days.
[21:23:15] Shathys: "Ahhh Ameiko! Mine long lost lover." Shathys proclaims, more than slightly drunk.
[21:23:19] Dungeon Master: Clean, homy and colourful, it is the exact opposite of Fatman's Feedbag.
[21:23:59 | Edited 21:25:49] Shara Khan: Shara looks like a stormcloud when she enters the inn, eyes pitch-black and fists clenched tight.
[21:24:16] Jack Steele: "Woah there, stallion. Calm down now." jack puts a hand on Shathys' shoulder
[21:25:29] Shara Khan: (( Oh my god, what is happening with me and spelling/grammar today ))
[21:25:46 | Edited 21:25:59] Dungeon Master: "Shathys!" Ameiko calls back with a wry smile. "My drunken admirer! Is that Fatman's brew I smell on your breath?"
[21:26:45] Shara Khan: Trying not to seem rude Shara sends a meek smile to Aldern and Ameiko and heads straight to her room.
[21:27:13] Shathys: "Perhaps, perhaps....Most definately. How are you? Shathys slurs and sits down on a bench, "Care to throw another silver arrow my way, dearest?"
[21:27:14] Jack Steele: Jack waits around the bar for a while before venturing down to the smithy to get his shield.
[21:28:38] Dungeon Master: ((Silver arrow? I think that's an expression I'm unfamiliar with.))
[21:29:51] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: ((Is there an inn keeper somewhere?))
[21:30:07] Dungeon Master: ((Ameiko is the inn keeper))
[21:30:08] Shara Khan: (( Ameiko is the innkeeper. Does Morbus sleep? ))
[21:30:22] Shathys: ((People say throw another silver bullet my way, when referring to alcohol, killing werewolves or something, there are no bullets so I just said silver arrow, something to take me down.))
[21:31:17] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: Morbus walks towards Ameiko and asks, "Do you mind if I shut down in here? I can stand in a corner and won't make any noise at all."
[21:31:42] Dungeon Master: Ameiko produces a mug of pleasantly cooled ale and hands it to Shathys, smiling.
[21:32:23] Dungeon Master: "Not at all," she says to Morbus. "I'll make sure nobody bothers you."
[21:32:56 | Edited 21:32:58] Shathys: "aaah, I always knew you loved me." Shathys takes the cup with all the grace a drunken man could muster.
[21:33:50 | Edited 21:34:04] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: "Thank you! - guys if you need me, I'll be in the corner", Morbus walks to a corner where he shuts down and the red lights from his eyes disappear instantly.
[21:34:44] Dungeon Master: ((And that's it for now, ladies and gentlemen. I hope you'll all be up for another session soon. Until then, the forum awaits.))
[21:35:05] Shathys: ((Wait, no))
[21:35:09] Shathys: ((more :C))
[21:35:16] Shara Khan: (( We're posting this to the forum, right? ))
[21:35:23] Jack Steele: ((clearly not enough rp))
[21:35:24] Dungeon Master: ((Yes, Signe))
[21:35:42] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: ((Well, I wouldn't might if we kept going to ten o' clock))
[21:36:17] Dungeon Master: ((Signe, you up for another 25 minutes?))
[21:36:36] Shara Khan: (( Sure, we might as well finish the day ))
[21:37:02] Dungeon Master: ((Cool.))
[21:38:41] Dungeon Master: ((Jack, did you head for the smithy?))
[21:39:00] Jack Steele: ((oui))
[21:42:08] Dungeon Master: Down at Red Dog Smithy, Das Korvut presents Jack's shield without flourish. "It's finished," he says, wiping his hands with a dirty piece of cloth.
[21:42:17] Dungeon Master: ((Go ahead and describe it, Jack.))
[21:43:18] Shathys: Shathys fell asleep with the mug still in his hands, Mishka curles around his feet protectively.
[21:43:18] Jack Steele: The shield looks like a series of metal fans spread out around a middle button that can be attached to the wrist
[21:43:48] Jack Steele: Jack fastens it to his wrist and it settles with a nice "click"
[21:44:53 | Edited 21:46:46] Jack Steele: He tries it a few times, the fans spreading out and going in again, and looks satisfied. "A job well done I'd say. What do I owe you for this?"
[21:47:08] Dungeon Master: "Five gold pieces," he says.
[21:49:40] Jack Steele: Jack nods and gives him the coins. "Reasonable. Not many people would be able to pull it off." Jack hesitates for a moment, he then claps the man on his shoulder. "We'll get her out, my friend." and he walks back to the inn.
[21:53:08] Dungeon Master: A few hours pass in comfort at The Rusty Dragon. By the time the boar is ready, the tables are filled with villagers and the sun is setting on a dark purple sky.
[21:54:54] Dungeon Master: Ameiko has set up a big table in the middle of the common room with plenty of space for a group of people and a roast boar.
[21:56:09] Dungeon Master: Aldern insists that Ameiko dines with you, and she gladly agrees.
[21:56:11] Shathys: Shathys crawls the way to the table.
[21:57:40] Shara Khan: Shara has cooled down considerably and is ready to enjoy a meal with the others. She spent the time until now bathing, trying to wash blood and dirt out of her clothes and conversing with the weird little lizard-dragon of hers.
[21:59:01] Jack Steele: Jack joins the table. "Ameiko, have you ever noticed something odd about the fat bartender?"
[22:00:04] Morbus Mortem Apparatus: Morbus turns back on and joins the others without eating anything.
[22:00:11] Shathys: Shathys clutches his head, " Why does my head hurt? What the hell did the fat bastard put in his drink? And are we able to start eating? I'm absolutely starving."
[22:04:06] Dungeon Master: She laughs. "Gressel, you mean? From Fatman's? Besides his size, not really. He likes money, and he serves the strongest swill in all of Sandpoint, but that's hardly odd."
[22:05:08] Dungeon Master: "Please!" Aldern says. "Tuck in!"
[22:06:03] Shara Khan: (( I would like to spend some time with my parents now and my tor char :b I am losing concentration, can we conclude this lovely evening and continue sometime next week? ))
[22:06:13] Shathys: Shathys reaches forward and gets the closest thing resembling meat.

'So Shara,' Aldern says, skewering a piece of boar. 'How have you enjoyed the day?'

"I have had quite a day, actually. In the morning I didn't know anyone in Sandpoint - now I have three friends! Well, I sort of have three friends", as he finished the sentence, he looks at Jack Steele in a rather disgruntled way. Shortly afterwards, he continues, "And that Pig, Gressel, you talked about before tried to steal my money. Fortunately after a nice little conversation, I got it all back from him." Not really knowing what to do since he's not eating anything, the shelf from Morbus' chest opens in a "click", he takes out the flower and starts to caress it softly. He takes a pitcher from the table and pours small drops of water on it.

Shara looks at Morbus and laughs.

"As Morbus says, we have had quite the day. I'm not sure i would define it as good though, we ran into a lot of weird people and the guys made some new enemies." Shara says it all with a smile, but you can tell that she isn't completely happy with how the day has turned out.
